Update on Sky's ears

We took Sky to the vet on Monday and they took the tampons out of her ears.  Her ears are standing as they are suppose too.  As for Rex and Daisy they are chasing each other around the yard.  If you have never had a doberman I would recommend getting one.  It's so much fun watching them play and run.  All 3 of ours sleep together in a huge dog house that we made and I don't think they would have it any other way.  If Rex and Daisy didn't have one another they would be lost.  They are best friends.

Doggy days!!

Our dogs are doing great..we are actually dog sitting for a lady who got a pup from us.  She came close to where we live to get her dogs ears done and we picked him up from the vet for her.  He is so cute.  He's a red Dobie and the sweetest puppy.  He's not a nibbler like Sky.  He loves to play and he loves attention.  He hardly makes any noise.  His new family absolutely love him.  She will be picking him up tomorrow.  I'm going to miss him, but he'll be back down this way in a few weeks.  I'll take a picture and post it.

Our last litter

Here is a picture of our puppies from our last litter.  Daisy had reds, black/rust, blues, and fawns.  They are all beautiful.  They all found loving homes and we keep in touch with everyone who got a puppy.  After the puppies were born we had to wait 5 days to get their tails docked.  It's important to get their tails docked because they could be easily broken.  At 6 weeks old they all got their parvo shot.  They all did very well then too.  Parvo shots have got to be given every 3 weeks until 4 shots have been given, then only give a shot once a year.

Sky's Ears

We got Sky's ears cropped 2 weeks ago and the process is still on going.  After surgery she came home the next day.  7 days after that the vet took out her stitches and everything looked real good.  Still not done.  We took her back yesterday for her first taping and now she has tampons in her ears.  She has to be like that for 7 days.  That is to ensure that the ears will always stand.  The vet said the she may only need 1 taping.  That's how good her ears were standing.  A few more days of this and then she can go play with Rex and Daisy.

About Our Dobermans

Our Dobermans are pure bred and they are ckc and akc registered.  Our dogs are our family.  They are both 2 yrs old and we added another Dobie to our family.  She is 13 weeks (Sky).  We have Rex (our male), Daisy (our female) and Sky (our female).  They are loving pets, and great guard dogs.  They will scare away anybody who shouldn't be around.  We got our  doies for family pets, but soon seen how good of a guard dog they are.  They are excellent protectors.  Rex likes to carry his food bowl around in his mouth and make us chase him.  Daisy she is more calm, and relaxed.  She actually was the influence for Rex to start emptying out the food bowl.  Rex and Daisy would be lost without each other.  Sky well she's a rowdy one.  She loves to bite, but she's still a puppy, hopefully she'll grow out of that.  We will post pictures of our pets soon.
